Campagna Ambiguous Dining Table
Cody Campanie's aim in designing the Ambiguous Table was to create an amorphous and organically shaped piece that is still rooted in geometry. The shape of the table’s top is composed of multiple colliding radii.
The rigid and orthogonal structure of the legs provides stark counterbalance to the sweeping curves of the top.
As you move around the table, the legs occlude one another, at times making the table appear to only have three points of support.
The legs are aligned in a way that they form sharp parallel shadows.
The ebonized walnut finish utilizes a chemical reaction between the natural tannins in the wood and a solution made from soaking steel wool in vinegar.
This rich, dark color is integral to the organic makeup of the wood, not an externally applied stain. It is then coated with natural oils and wax for a smooth matte luster.
Available in ebonized walnut, white oak, maple, oiled walnut and black dyed ash.
